The Aalimiyyah Program is a rigorous, full time course of study in classical Arabic and the Islamic sciences, taught in person by traditionally trained scholars. It follows the path that has formed the scholars of this Ummah for fourteen centuries: the great books of the tradition, read closely with a teacher, in a chain of transmission that reaches back to the Prophet ﷺ.
Year One lays the foundation on which everything else is built. The year is given first to Arabic, with grammar and morphology studied until the language begins to open, alongside a firm grounding in fiqh, aqeedah, hadith, and Quran. Students are also trained in writing and public address, and their character receives the same attention as their coursework.

A short assessment gauges readiness and helps us place each student well. No prior Arabic is required.

How serious is the commitment?
Very. Aalimiyyah is a rigorous, multi year course of study. Year One meets five mornings a week, with daily memorization, review, and homework. The students who thrive here come with dedication and consistency, and their families treat the program as a priority, not an extracurricular.
Can my child continue high school or college alongside the program?
Yes. Classes end at 12:30 PM, and students complete their schooling in the afternoons and evenings. High school students may also enroll in the combined option with academics. What we ask is simple: the student must be able to commit fully to their morning studies.
Does my child need to know Arabic already?
No. Year One builds Arabic from the very beginning, and the placement assessment helps the teacher set the right pace. What matters is commitment, not background.
Is the program open to both boys and girls?
Yes. Boys and girls are enrolled in the same program and taught in separate classrooms.
How long is the full Aalimiyyah path?
Aalimiyyah is traditionally completed over several years of full time study. Darul Huda is beginning with Year One and will add the next year as the cohort advances, so that students can complete the entire path here in Houston, InshaAllah.
What does the program cost?
Tuition is $300 per month, with a one time registration fee and books. Financial assistance is available, and no student is deprived of education over finances.
How do we apply?
Submit the online application, complete a short placement assessment, and sit with us for a family interview. Seats are limited to fifteen, so we encourage families to apply early.
